Unqualified analysis

Questions about my 'productivity' are being raised by a colleague 'in absentia', as a means of assuaging his own guilt at taking two days off from surgery practice (thus representing 50% of surgery time so far). I will leave the reader to draw their own conclusions about the validity of this analysis, particularly as it is being given by someone completely unqualified to do so.

Might I point out that as acting Practice Manager, in addition to my supportive responsibilities, I am expected to play a role which takes me, away from the front line, so to speak. Today I was involved in external consultation, promotional work, organising documentation and aquiring LIQUORICE.In addition it is right that someone takes responsibility for monitoring spend. As a practice it is essential that we work towards optimising the utilisation of finite resources. And that includes you Doctor Gilhooly.
